Jula is in a phase where digital development and increased complexity in the external environment make IT and information security a central enabler. Therefore, we are now looking for a Cyber Security Specialist who wants to take a key role in developing and driving work with cyber security, incident management, and vulnerabilities in a structured and business-oriented manner.

Organization and Working Methods

Within IT & Digital, Jula has chosen to pool resources within security, risk, and compliance into a common function to strengthen capabilities at the strategic and tactical levels, as well as to clarify responsibilities and governance within IT and information security.

This has resulted in the establishment of IT Security, Risk & Compliance, a new department placed under the CDIO and led by the CISO. The area has overall responsibility for Jula's IT and information security, risk management, and compliance, and functions as a cohesive unit for the entire organization.

The working method is primarily organized as a strategic and tactical buyer function. This means that the area sets direction, prioritizes, specifies requirements, and follows up on security work, while large parts of the operational implementation take place within the respective specialist areas of the IT organization.

At the same time, IT Security, Risk & Compliance steps operationally into questions that are highly prioritized, particularly sensitive, or where in-depth specialist competence is required. The role of Cyber Security Specialist thus combines a clear operational responsibility with elements of tactical and strategic work.

As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be a key person in ensuring that Jula's security capability is structured, effective, and adapted to the needs of the business, with a focus on real risk reduction through a pragmatic approach.

About the Role

In the role of Cyber Security Specialist, you work operationally and tactically to develop, drive, and coordinate work within cyber security, with a particular focus on incident management and vulnerabilities, and contribute to setting goals and direction within the area. You will become part of IT Security, Risk & Compliance and report to the CISO.

Your Assignment

In the role, you are responsible for owning, developing, and driving the process for IT security incidents, as well as analyzing needs and contributing to the development of goals, structure, and working methods within the area. You coordinate and handle high-priority or sensitive incidents, ensure effective monitoring and collaboration with SOC providers, and identify, analyze, and prioritize threats and vulnerabilities.

Furthermore, you are responsible for establishing structure, working methods, and prioritization models for vulnerability management, ensuring that measures are implemented in the organization through clear requirement setting, contributing to the development of policies, guidelines, and security governance, and supporting the organization with expert competence in cyber security.

You also contribute to strengthening the organization's understanding of cyber security and ensure that policies and guidelines are relevant, anchored, and followed. The assignment includes working closely with the business to ensure that security is integrated into development and operations in a way that supports the business without creating unnecessary obstacles.

Education and Experience

You have a university degree or equivalent, as well as experience within IT and/or information security, including work with IT security incidents, vulnerability management, and threat landscape analysis, as well as operational security work. You also have a good understanding of risk management and security processes and are accustomed to collaborating with different parts of an organization. It is an advantage if you also have experience with SOC, vendor management, or work in larger organizations.
