Welcome to us

The Health and Medical Care function (HS) in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 cross-professional HS Teams, as well as a Home Team. We have specializations within psychiatry, palliative care, home rehabilitation, dementia, and functional support. Together, we are approximately 460 dedicated employees.

HS-Team 12 is part of the Health and Medical Care function, covering the areas of Center West, Jönköping South, Torpa, Munksjöstaden, and Fridhem. Within this area, there are three elderly care homes: Bruksgatan Elderly Care Home, Kristinedal Elderly Care Home, and Tornet Elderly Care Home, as well as Brunnsgatan Service Housing. The work group operates from the team premises on Skeppsbron and consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, specialist nurses, assistant nurses, and unit administrators.

Your new job

As a Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist with us, you work with home rehabilitation targeting a varied group. You meet patients in ordinary housing, special housing, and short-term care units. Your tasks involve assessments, as well as offering, implementing, and evaluating the health and medical care interventions required based on the individual's rehabilitation needs. You work with a health-promoting focus on strengthening the citizen's own resources and ability to rehabilitate. As needed, you also mentor and educate relatives and home care/nursing staff.

In your role, you collaborate closely with both primary and specialized care to adapt care needs to the individual. Here, you also work cross-professionally and have close cooperation with other roles such as occupational therapists, nurses, assistant nurses, rehabilitation assistants, and social secretaries.

Your competence

• You must be a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist.
• We prefer that you have experience working in the profession such as physiotherapist/physical therapist, rehabilitation assistant, or another role within healthcare and social services, but this is not a requirement.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills, are required.
• The work requires good physical mobility as it takes place in home environments where unpredictable situations may arise and must be resolved in a manner adapted to the situation.
• A Category B driver's license and experience driving a car are required.

At the same time, you are adaptable to changing circumstances and thrive in a operation where days vary. You collaborate well with others and are clear in your communication. Good to know

The recruitment is for a permanent full-time position with a start date as agreed. Working hours are primarily during daytime, Monday to Friday. Some daytime work on public holidays may occur.
