The Role of Specialist Physician in Internal Medicine and Cardiology

As a specialist physician in internal medicine and cardiology at Värnamo Hospital, you will have significant clinical responsibility for patients with heart-related conditions. Your work will encompass everything from the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases to participating in leading and developing our cardiology team. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in an engaged team, where close collaboration and short decision-making paths give you great influence in both patient care and the strategic development of the unit.

Your Future Workplace

The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic has a total of three care units as well as an outpatient clinic, day care, and dialysis. We handle everything from stroke care to endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, hematology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, and nephrology – i.e., a broad spectrum of specialties that make every day both developing and rewarding.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a specialist physician in internal medicine and cardiology.
• Has a genuine interest in cardiac care and wants to contribute to improving patients' quality of life.
• Thrives in a consultative and supportive role, where you take personal responsibility but also work closely with colleagues in the team.

As a person, you are also secure and stable with a good ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You are confident in your knowledge and competence, dare to make your own decisions, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since the work involves a lot of collaboration with other colleagues, we see that you have an easy time working well with other people. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

What We Offer You

We offer you a varied job at a smaller hospital where all competence is close at hand. Here you get favorable working hours, meaning work Monday–Friday between 08:00–16:30. Regular on-call duties are included in the position.

The position is a permanent full-time position. Start date is by agreement.

You will become part of an experienced and engaged team that includes doctors, nurses, and assistant nurses, all with a common focus – to improve patients' heart health.
