Your tasks are varied, with a major focus on conference support and service to staff, participants, and visitors. You will receive conference participants, handle fault reports and orders, coordinate and book in craftsmen, perform minor repair measures in our buildings, and maintain the park area. Another important duty is managing and administering the school's IT systems, so good IT skills are required.

Since the role of Service Coordinator is vital for the operation to function optimally, many questions pass through your hands. You resolve some issues yourself and route others on. Many tasks require collaboration with other employees in the work team and at the school. We therefore expect you to be unpretentious, enjoy collaborating with others, and be able to plan and execute tasks independently.

We place significant emphasis on social and communication skills, as a large part of the job involves meeting with participants, staff, and conference guests. You have a solid sense of service, are customer-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize effectively. Good proficiency in Swedish is a prerequisite, while multilingualism is an advantage.

Since the work involves many different tasks, you need to be flexible, have good administrative skills, and be able to structure, plan, and prioritize. Furthermore, you need to be handy and problem-solving. The pace varies, with occasionally intense days. We expect you to enjoy when a lot is happening simultaneously. The majority of your working hours will be during the day on weekdays, but evening and weekend work may occur. Flexibility regarding the weekly schedule is a prerequisite for enjoying the job.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Acting as support for the various needs of the operation.
• Management and administration of the school's IT systems, account and license management, as well as basic support and configuration of computers, hardware, and telephony.
• Conference support, receiving guests, providing technical support, etc.
• Preparing premises for courses, conferences, and teaching.
• Handling fault reports, performing general maintenance and upkeep, and rectifying minor faults in our buildings.
• Coordinating, planning, and booking craftsmen and service technicians.
• Supervision and control of heating and ventilation, as well as basic maintenance of the systems.
• Managing keys and access control systems.
• Receiving goods deliveries and placing orders for consumables.
• Snow and ice control.
• Park and garden maintenance.
• Otherwise, working to ensure our buildings and outdoor areas give a well-maintained and cared-for impression.

Since the work involves physically demanding tasks and occasionally a high pace, it is important that you have good physical fitness. A B-class driver's license is required for the position.

Jakobsberg Folk High School is one of Sweden's 156 folk high schools. It is located in a manor house in Jakobsberg, a 20-minute commuter train ride from central Stockholm. For nearly a hundred years, the school has stood for a solidaristic and humanistic view of society. The school's non-religious and non-partisan stance provides room for social engagement as well as reflective and radical debate. The association Jakobsberg Folk High School, which is the name of the non-profit organization/employer, has approximately 30 employees.
