Are you an experienced and development-oriented leader with a background in flight operations? We are looking for a section chief who wants to drive the development of our target flight operations forward. About the role

As the head of the section, you lead the development of flight operations and play a key role in shaping the future target flight capability. You represent the operations through clear and engaging leadership, creating the conditions for employees to achieve set goals together and develop the operations forward.

In this role, you have operational, personnel, and budgetary responsibility for the section. You are responsible for leading, planning, and executing flight operations with LR-35 and LR-60 aircraft. You drive the development of target flight operations and actively contribute to developing technology, working methods, and operational capabilities in the field.

The role entails overall responsibility for ensuring efficient and effective operations, while you have the mandate and autonomy to develop new ways of working and create long-term solutions. You work in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines and actively contribute to the management group's work by supporting and reporting to your superior.

You lead and develop a knowledge-intensive team where participation, engagement, and collaboration are central to strengthening the organization's operational capability. As needed, you also participate in development and test activities related to other flight systems and contribute to the continued development of the entire operation.

The position is located in Linköping. Business travel may occur.

About you

We are looking for you who hold at least a CPL IR with ATPL theory, military flight training including completed GFSU, commander training within transport, special, or target flight, and have completed the Division Commander course at the Swedish Armed Forces LSS/FBS. Furthermore, you need to have current and relevant multi-year experience as a commander in a multi-crew environment, as well as experience with target flight using Learjet 35/60. You must also have experience leading military flight operations, such as Division Commander or Deputy Division Commander with personnel responsibility. To succeed in the role, knowledge of transport and special flight, a Category B driver's license, and good proficiency in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing, are required.

It is meritorious if you have current and relevant multi-year experience in test flight operations. We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of Military Aviation Regulations (RML).

You will work in our Test and Evaluation business area, which is responsible for verifying and validating the materiel that FMV delivers to the Swedish Armed Forces. This means checking that FMV has received what was ordered and that the system can be used as intended. Within this business area, military flight operations are conducted for verification and validation on behalf of internal and external customers. Target flight operations are conducted to support Swedish Armed Forces unit exercises and development, as well as test activities with associated flight platforms. Target flight and test flight operations are conducted using LearJet 35 and LearJet 60.
