We are looking for an experienced Operational Buyer for our client!
About the position
- Scope: Full-time
- Start: Immediately
- Duration: Until 2026-12-30, with potential for extension.
You will be employed by Poolia but work on-site at our client's premises. There is an opportunity for remote work two days a week once you are settled in.
The purchasing team consists of 13–15 employees responsible for different parts of the assortment. The planning department plays a crucial role in managing the healthcare and consumables assortment and ensuring that the client receives deliveries according to contract.
Your main responsibilities
As an Operational Buyer/Material Planner, you are responsible for ensuring that the right materials are in place at the right time, at the right cost, and with the right quality. The role is central to the supply chain and involves close collaboration with suppliers, warehouses, other operations, and other functions within supply chain.
You will work both operationally and strategically with planning, follow-up, and improvement of material flows. Your areas of responsibility include:
- Operational purchasing and material planning based on forecasts and needs.
- Ensuring delivery precision and optimal inventory levels.
- Order placement, delivery monitoring, and exception handling.
- Dialogue and follow-up with suppliers regarding lead times, capacity, and improvement measures.
- Analysis of forecasts, consumption, turnover rate, and safety stock.
- Contributing to the development of planning processes and working methods.
- Participating in planning meetings and preparing decision-making materials.
Who are you?
To be considered for the role, you should meet the following criteria:
- You have an academic degree in logistics, industrial economics, economics, or equivalent competence. Alternatively, you have other education that the client deems relevant for the assignment.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in similar work.
- You have experience in operational purchasing and/or material planning, as well as a good understanding of the entire supply chain and how its different parts interconnect.
- You have good system proficiency and experience with planning tools/ERP.
- You can communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. English may also be used.
Merits:
- Experience with the planning tool RELEX.
- Experience from regulated industries, such as medical technology or the public sector.
- Experience working with complex article structures or large assortments.
- Experience in improvement work related to inventory optimization and service levels.
