We are now looking for an engaged and relationship-building teacher of English and Mathematics for our resource school in Norrtälje.

At our school, we work in small groups with high adult presence and close collaboration between teachers, student welfare services, and resource personnel. About the Job

As a teacher at the resource school, you are responsible for teaching English and Mathematics to students in grades 4–6. You plan and conduct teaching with a focus on accessible learning environments, motivation, and student participation.

You work closely with colleagues, student welfare services, and guardians to create good conditions for the students' knowledge development, safety, and well-being at school.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching in English and Mathematics.
• Adapt teaching and learning environments based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
• Work with clear structure and a relationship-building approach.
• Create a safe, accessible, and stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborate with student welfare services, guardians, and resource personnel.
• Document and follow up on students' knowledge development.
• Contribute to the school's development work and collegial learning.

Formal Competencies

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications in English and Mathematics.
• Have experience adapting teaching and learning environments based on students' needs.
• Have good digital competence.
• Express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious Competencies

Experience with inclusive teaching and student support

• Experience working in a resource school or similar operations.
• Experience working with students who have different ways of learning and communicating.
• Experience creating accessible and flexible learning environments.

Pedagogical Approaches and Adaptations

• Experience with clarifying pedagogy.
• Experience with low-affective handling.
• Experience with special pedagogical approaches and adaptations.

Communication and Relationship Building

• Ability to create good and trusting relationships with students.
• Experience working closely with resource personnel, student welfare services, and guardians.
• Ability to motivate and strengthen students' participation and independence.
