Birka Gotland is the Baltic Sea's pleasure cruise ship, offering recreation and experiences for the everyday commuter. The vessel is operated by Gotland Alandia Cruises, established in 2023 as a joint venture between the shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget. Birka Gotland offers cruises and regular routes between Stockholm, Mariehamn, and Visby starting from spring 2024.

Ready for a new job adventure? We are looking for substitute waiters for our restaurants and bars!

Do you have a positive attitude, a great sense of service, enjoy working at a fast pace, and thrive on varied tasks? If you quickly adapt to new routines and are flexible – then you are the person we are looking for in our substitute pool!

Working as a substitute on Birka Gotland:

• A shift on board varies between 1–14 consecutive cruises.
• We offer shifts based on need, both with short notice and with advance planning.
• Safety duties are included in all roles.
• Work clothes and all meals on board are included. You have your own cabin and access to the staff gym and sauna.

We are looking for someone with education in food and beverage service or several years of documented professional experience in the industry. You are a team player who is passionate about good service, results-oriented, and sees upselling as a natural part of the job. You communicate easily with people and are not afraid of physically demanding work. Previous experience working on board a ship is an advantage.
