About the position

Professionals Nord is recruiting an Automation Technician/Engineer on behalf of Lämneå Bruk. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at Lämneå Bruk for a period of 6 months. The intention is that you may eventually transition into a direct employment with the company, provided the collaboration works well.

About the role

As an Automation Technician/Engineer at Lämneå Bruk, you will become part of a knowledgeable and engaged team working with the entire production chain – from concept to final delivery. You will work operationally on various projects and be involved in programming, testing, and commissioning of the company's machines and systems. You will collaborate with other team members and the wider organization, contributing to ensuring that work is performed with high quality and in accordance with established procedures and safety regulations.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Working with PLC programming, HMI, and drive technology (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Starter)
• Participating in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machines and automation solutions
• Following established routines, working methods, and safety regulations
• Participating in communication and collaboration with other departments as needed
• Identifying technical areas for improvement and suggesting actions

Working hours are flexible during the day.

As the position involves travel, we are looking for someone who is also comfortable with international travel in this role.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least three years of practical experience working in automation, maintenance, or similar fields
• Is accustomed to working close to machines in an industrial environment and technical systems in operation
• Has basic experience with PLCs and an interest in further development within the field
• Has good computer skills
• Can communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a car

Merits:

• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., writing or modifying code)
• Experience with control systems, such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Beijer, or Lenze
• Experience working directly with end customers
• Experience with business travel
