At the Park and Workshop Unit, we are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's green areas and public outdoor environments. The Park Section consists of 15 employees who manage public places and outdoor environments within the municipality, both on public land and on quarter land where the municipality is the property owner. These areas and objects include, among other things, playgrounds, square areas, parks, municipal properties, schools/preschools, and forest areas close to urban areas.

Job Responsibilities

Your work will involve the inventory of street and park trees in the city of Karlskoga. The work involves collecting and compiling data and assessing the condition of these trees based on a finished inventory model. The work is performed independently and largely in the field. Administrative work involving the compilation of collected information is part of the job.

You have good knowledge of trees and vegetation. Species identification, assessment of vitality, and knowledge of the biology of trees and plants are basic prerequisites for this assignment.

You, together with your colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that the tasks are performed correctly and safely, and that you together create a welcoming, pleasant atmosphere and good working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous completed or ongoing education and/or previous experience within gardening or another relevant industry.
• We are looking for someone who enjoys flexible outdoor work.
• Valid B-driver's license (manual transmission).
• For the position, you must be able to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Computer skills are a prerequisite as administrative tasks are included in the work.
