Do you want to work as a Bid Manager at Ahlsell in Stockholm and help win business within the public sector? The Property segment is experiencing strong growth, and a new team is being built to support regions in tenders according to LOU (the Swedish Public Procurement Act). In this role, you work with analysis, calculations, and pricing, where you review documentation, interpret requirements, and create competitive bids. You handle several tenders in parallel and play a key role in an initiative with clear goals aligned with Ahlsell’s 2030 strategy, where your analytical and business acumen makes a real difference. Sounds exciting? We warmly welcome your application today!
Your employment offer
At Ahlsell, you are offered a central role in an initiative targeting the public sector, where the Property segment is a prioritized area with strong growth and clear ambitions. You will become part of a new function where working methods and structure are shaped from the start, while having support from experienced colleagues and established contacts within the organization.
The role is part of a small group focused on supporting regions in tenders, which means you will work with a wide range of businesses and product areas. This provides excellent opportunities to build an understanding of different markets, suppliers, and how the competitive landscape varies between deals.
Here you are offered a flexible daily life with hybrid work and close collaboration within the team. You will have the opportunity to develop within analysis, pricing, and procurement, while gaining insight into how businesses are built and won in practice.
Your responsibilities
In the role of Bid Manager, you work with analyzing, calculating, and quality-assuring bids within the public sector. You become an important part of assessing business opportunities and creating competitive bids together with relevant contacts.
Your main tasks include:
- Analyzing tender documentation and identifying requirements according to LOU
- Performing calculations and creating competitive pricing in Excel
- Assessing business potential and profitability in tenders
- Gathering documentation and prices from suppliers and internal functions
- Coordinating dialogue with product managers, regional sales managers, and other key persons
- Ensuring bids meet all mandatory requirements with support from other functions
- Participating in the implementation of won business, for example regarding price and terms
- Monitoring and analyzing competitors' bids to develop future working methods
Worth knowing
The position is located at Ahlsell’s office in Liljeholmen, Stockholm. The team works on a hybrid basis with a minimum of three days in the office and the possibility of two days from home. Working hours are fundamentally 08:00–16:30, with some flexibility. You will become part of a new group of three people within the Property segment, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are an important part of everyday life. The role is a permanent full-time position starting as agreed.
Our expectations
We are looking for someone who is structured, analytical, and detail-oriented, and who thrives in a role where numbers, logic, and business trade-offs are central. You have very good Excel skills and feel confident working with calculations, pricing, or other business-related analysis.
To succeed in the role, you need to have a good business understanding and be able to interpret how price, volume, and margin affect the overall business picture. You are comfortable analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and making well-founded decisions based on both numbers and business considerations.
Experience of public procurement or LOU is meritorious but not a requirement. Most importantly, you have the right working style, can handle several parallel processes, and quickly familiarize yourself with new documentation. You also have an interest in understanding different product areas and markets.
As a person, you are proactive, collaborative, and thrive in a role where you need to contact different functions to obtain the right information. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have a good understanding of English.
