We warmly welcome you to apply for a teaching position at Freinetskolan Hugin. We are looking for a creative and dedicated teacher with broad qualifications and a teaching license for instruction in several subjects at the lower secondary level (grades 4–6).
Freinetskolan Hugin is a small-scale school covering preschool through grade 9, with an attached preschool. The school is centrally located in the heart of Norrtälje, giving us the opportunity to incorporate the city's cultural and natural life into our teaching. There are 250 students and 30 preschool children at our school.
We work based on the principles of Freinet pedagogy, which permeates the entire school's progression and daily work.
We are looking for someone who focuses on seeing opportunities and ensures that students reach as far as possible in their knowledge development through structured and varied teaching.
You have a natural ability to build good relationships and collaborate effectively with students, guardians, colleagues, the student health team, and school leadership.
You prefer working cross-curricularly, focusing on lively and motivating teaching where students have an audience for their work even outside the classroom.
You are a team player who views collaboration as a key factor for success.
