We are now looking for an Occupational Therapist for one of our residential facilities, Villa Vesta, where we support older adults with somatic needs and dementia. Your Professional Role

As an Occupational Therapist with us, you are the key figure for activity and independence in the residents' daily lives. You have significant influence over the activity work and contribute your professional knowledge in a team where nurses, managers, and colleagues work closely together. The role gives you the opportunity to develop working methods and adapt interventions for both people with dementia and those with somatic needs.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assessing activity capacity, cognitive functions, and needs for support, assistive devices, or environmental adaptations
• Designing individual activity plans based on the residents' needs and target group – for example, reminiscence, music, and social interaction for people with dementia, or ADL training, ergonomic solutions, and walks for people with somatic needs
• Mentoring the team on how activities and a rehabilitative approach can become a natural part of daily work
• Collaborating with nurses, managers, staff, and relatives regarding residents' functioning and development
• Evaluating interventions and contributing to the facility's quality and improvement work

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a licensed Occupational Therapist and want to contribute to older adults having a daily life filled with activity, independence, and meaning. This role suits you if you thrive with the breadth of the assignment and want to work with two target groups. As a person, you have the ability to create structure, take initiative, and guide with your competence. At the same time, you have a listening and co-creative approach, where the resident's story and will are the starting point.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience in elderly care, preferably both in dementia care or somatic care
• Broad competence in activity therapy – for cognitive, physical, and social needs
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

Merits:

• Education in dementia care, geriatrics, or cognitive rehabilitation
• Experience with prescribing assistive devices and environmental adaptations
• Knowledge of national guidelines for care and support of the elderly
• Experience in quality or improvement work
