Description

Trollhättan Library consists of the City Library, the Book Bus, Sylte Library, and Kronan Library. The library operations are based on the city's library plan and operational goals, with a focus on the best interests of prioritized groups.

The libraries in Trollhättan are part of the "Libraries in Fyrstad" collaboration, sharing a common library system and website.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide service and support to library visitors, primarily within your area of responsibility but also in other library tasks. You will contribute to the development of the library's operations.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Provide user support and digital guidance within your area of responsibility.
• Be responsible for media purchasing.
• Participate in the launch of a welfare library.
• Work with book shelving, localization, and weeding of media.
• Collaborate with both internal and external parties, as well as coordinate with other staff within the libraries and other departments within the Culture and Leisure Administration.
• Conduct presentations and guidance sessions, independently or together with colleagues. Greet visitors and staff the library's information desk.

Evening and Saturday shifts are included in the position. Work may occasionally take place at Sylte Library, Kronan Library, and the Book Bus, but your main workplace is the City Library.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Library and Information Science or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working in a library or other service-oriented operations.
• Strong digital competence with an interest in guiding users in digital services.
• Knowledge of available media.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Additional language skills are meritorious.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with multilingualism and accessibility.
