Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to work as a Development Manager in the specialist area of data protection in Sweden's largest administration for disability support!

We are looking for you who are interested in data protection, information security, and issues regarding privacy, IT, and digitalization, and want to become part of an engaged information security team consisting of development managers within information security and digitalization, IT data protection contacts, administrative lawyers, a manager responsible for information security, and the administration's IT Director.

You will work closely with the operations, spread knowledge, and be a support in the systematic data protection and information security work. You work supportively within the information security area together with your colleagues and are part of a network with specialists from other administrations regarding data protection and information security.

As one of the administration's three data protection contacts, you coordinate and follow up on the administration's data protection issues and are responsible for the dialogue with the Data Protection Officer (DPO). You monitor the external environment, produce governing and supporting documents, implement new legislation, and develop methods and routines.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Provide advisory and supportive services in the operations' data protection and information security work, with a primary focus on data protection issues
  • Organize and conduct information campaigns or similar knowledge-raising measures
  • Participate in various projects as an expert, for example during the decommissioning/implementation of IT support or other digital services.
  • Conduct/participate in and follow up on threshold analyses, impact assessments, information classification, and risk analyses
  • Investigate and handle personal data incidents
  • Audit the administration's register of processing activities, provide register extracts, and handle deletion requests
  • Develop the risk and incident process

The position is located within the Security and Preparedness Unit, which is part of the Quality and Control Department. Within the unit, we have gathered issues concerning physical security, personal security, civil preparedness, as well as information security and data protection. We have a welcoming and pleasant workplace at Selma Lagerlöfs torg with an activity-based working approach. We offer flexible working hours, remote work, and strive for a balance between work and leisure. This implies a certain freedom but also places demands on responsibility-taking from each employee. We have clear leadership based on the City of Gothenburg's approach; we know our mission and who we are for, we care, we work together, and we think new.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education, for example within public administration, law, IT, or another direction that the employer deems relevant for the position. You must have documented knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and experience of working with data protection issues.

You need to have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the position requires you to write reports and statements. It is also required that you have good computer literacy and knowledge of Office 365.

It is meritorious if you have experience from work within different security areas. If you also have post-secondary education or experience from social work or work within law enforcement authorities, this is seen as meritorious. It is also advantageous if you have worked as a development manager or equivalent within information security, data protection, or security in a politically governed organization.

To fit the role as Development Manager for Data Protection, you must be strategic in thought but operational in action. You have the analytical ability to handle complex contexts that affect the mission in relation to the Administration for Disability Support and the external environment. The work involves both a leading and a coordinating role, which places demands on you being both collaborative and service-oriented.

To enable you to carry out your mission well, we see that you are good at planning, prioritizing, structuring, executing, and following up on tasks.

Other

In this recruitment, you will answer a number of questions where you describe your knowledge in the area instead of sending a cover letter.

Selection and interviews may begin during the application period, so do not hesitate to submit your application!

We apply background checks to the candidate who becomes relevant for employment. This means that one needs to give consent to be subject to this prior to a possible employment.

The City of Gothenburg works actively to promote equal rights and opportunities and to counteract discrimination.

As an employee in the Administration for Disability Support, we offer you:

  • Secure employment with good working conditions
  • Full-time with the possibility of part-time
  • Introduction upon new employment
  • Competence development
  • Wellness allowance, bicycle subsidy, as well as other discounts and offers

You can only submit your application via our recruitment system because all handling of personal data must be done according to GDPR. If you have protected personal data, you should NOT apply via the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager for handling of your application.

Appointment is made on the condition that the position does not need to be utilized in the administration or the city's transition work.

To you who represent staffing and recruitment agencies: For this recruitment, we have chosen recruitment channels and do not wish offers of competence mediation, advertising, or recruitment assistance.
