The Urban Environment Administration has overall responsibility for the city's public spaces and collective accessibility. We work to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant urban environments and natural areas. The administration owns and manages the tram network in Gothenburg. Approximately 1,000 people work at the administration.
The Urban Environment Administration is part of the urban development administrations in the City of Gothenburg. Together, we work to create conditions for functioning infrastructure, quality housing and premises, an inviting public environment, and strive to make the city sustainable from all perspectives.
Job Responsibilities
Do you want to drive and develop IT security in an operation where your work has a direct impact on the city's function and residents?
We are now looking for an IT Security Manager who wants to work operationally with our IT security efforts. The role combines IT security management with IT operations management, with a focus on strengthening our capabilities in cyber security. You will become a key person in meeting increased demands within IT security, including those related to the Cyber Security Act.
The IT Business Area consists of 27 people distributed across 2 units.
The administration has coordinated work regarding information and cyber security; you will become an important part of this work with a special focus on IT security.
You plan, drive, and implement IT security measures and ensure that security requirements are integrated into operations, change, and development.
The role involves close collaboration with IT operations, where you act as support and sounding board for operations managers and technical specialists. You contribute to the planning, prioritization, and follow-up of operation and security-related activities, and participate in and support the handling of IT security incidents.
You develop and maintain procedures and working methods within IT security and collaborate with the information security function within the administration. The role includes monitoring the external environment regarding IT/cyber security, and you have ongoing contact and collaboration with other administrations, Intraservice, and external suppliers.
As part of the role, you support our operations managers within IT infrastructure and IT workplace. You act as operational support, contribute to technical analyses, and relieve workload by participating in changes and development initiatives in the IT environment.
Qualifications
Required for this position:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT security, IT infrastructure, and IT operations
- ITIL Foundation education
- Post-secondary education in IT, IT security, or equivalent experience
- Education as a Certified Ethical Hacker or equivalent
- Good knowledge of networks, communication, and protection against cyber threats
- Good understanding of technical IT environments, security principles, and risk management
- Experience in independently planning, driving, and following up on work
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
The following are meritorious:
- Experience working in accordance with the Cyber Security Act or similar regulations
- Additional certifications in IT security
- Experience with identity and access management
- Experience with security auditing and follow-up of technical and administrative controls
