Within Folktandvården, we encompass a wide range of competencies. We provide both general and specialist dental care, and we also participate in the clinical education of dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, and dental technicians. A clinic with a big heart

In the heart of the historic Umedalen area in Umeå lies our small clinic with a big heart – a place where time slows down, consideration takes center stage, and dental care for the elderly is in focus. We are now looking for a senior dentist who, with warmth, professional skill, and a sense of responsibility, wants to become part of our dedicated team where we work together to make a difference – every day.

The dental clinic in Umedalen specializes in dental care for patients with special needs (NSF) and is characterized by a long-term commitment to providing our patients with security, quality, and continuity. We treat both children and adults, working individually to meet each patient's unique conditions, with a focus on creating a respectful and secure interaction. We also provide outreach dental care, a service we constantly develop and improve with the goal of delivering care of the highest possible standard, even outside the clinic walls.

The dental clinic, with five treatment rooms, is located right in the heart of Umedalen – an area with history, culture, and greenery, just minutes from central Umeå.

Job Responsibilities

As a dentist with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure and ensures our patients are given good conditions for good oral health.

We offer varied work with patients of all ages and with different care needs. Here, there are good opportunities for development, and the proximity to Specialist Dental Care creates good conditions for further professional development through both courses and observations. Work at one or more of the workplaces included in the basic unit may become relevant.

We use computerized appointment booking and the T4 journal system, as well as the speech recognition tool Voxit Vocal.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed dentist with several years of experience and who are confident in your professional role.

As a person, you are engaged, knowledgeable, and passionate about performing your work with high quality and customer satisfaction. You are responsible and consider patient care a natural part of the job. You are flexible, easy to collaborate with, and have the ability to see the patient's needs from a holistic perspective. We place great emphasis on you having good communication skills, a professional demeanor, being receptive, and wanting to contribute to developing both the workplace and your colleagues. Experience in supervision and teamwork is meritorious. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
