Your Role

As a teacher for grades Pre-K to 3 at Järla School, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on the national curriculum. You adapt the teaching to meet the students' needs and prerequisites. You monitor, assess, and document students' knowledge development. The role includes mentorship. Mentorship involves responsibility for creating and maintaining trusting and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You conduct development conferences and actively work to create secure structures for the students' social and academic development.

You are part of a work group and grade-level team with teachers from grades Pre-K to 3. To create the right conditions for the students, close collaboration with the school's after-school program, other teachers, and the special educational needs team (when needed) is required. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for grades Pre-K to 3
• Knowledge of current regulatory documents
• Good digital competence and experience working with digital pedagogical tools
• Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

The following are considered meritorious:

• Experience teaching students in grades Pre-K to 3
• Knowledge and experience working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses
• Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support
• Experience in mentorship

You plan and implement your teaching in a structured and clear way, with thoughtful lesson designs and an accepting group climate that makes it easy for students to understand, follow, and succeed. At the same time, you are flexible and adapt to changing circumstances, always keeping the best interests of the students and the organization in focus. As a person, you are calm, stable, and solution-focused, even in stressful or pressured situations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Järla School is a Pre-K to 6 school with approximately 730 students located in central Nacka with good transportation links.
