About the Company

Ursviken Technology AB is a Swedish industrial company with over 135 years of experience in developing and manufacturing advanced machines for sheet metal processing – primarily CNC-controlled press brakes, notching machines, and custom solutions for industrial metalworking. Our products are designed and built in Skellefteå and exported to customers in over 100 countries, where they are used in demanding manufacturing environments worldwide. Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work broadly with technology, focusing on the development of software for our machines and production solutions. You will work on a project basis and be involved throughout the entire process, from functional descriptions and development to testing and commissioning.

As a software developer with us, you will become part of the technology department and work closely with colleagues in software, mechanics, electrical engineering, and automation. The team currently consists of four people locally, plus one additional colleague in the USA.

For those who wish to develop further, there is also an opportunity to take on greater responsibility in project management or leadership in the long term.

Examples of tasks:

• Programming of control systems for machines and automation, e.g., PLC programming in Structured Text (ST) or C.
• Development of software for CNC systems and user interfaces (HMI).
• Integration between mechanics, electrical engineering, and software in automated production lines.
• Work with robotics and automated production cells.
• Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of machines at customer sites.
• Creation of functional descriptions and technical solutions.
• Adaptation of special solutions based on customer needs.
• Close collaboration with mechanical and electrical designers in a project format.

Your Background/Qualities

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education in, for example, computer science, software development, automation, mechatronics, or technical physics.

You have a strong interest in technology and thrive in an environment where development is fast-paced and much happens in a project format. Perhaps you currently work as a system developer, software developer, or with CNC, HMI, or automation development within the industry.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in machine development or automation.
• Experience in project management or leadership.
• Experience with CNC systems, HMI, or industrial control systems.
