About Blekingetrafiken

Blekingetrafiken is part of Region Blekinge and is responsible for public transport in the county. The mission is to make it easy to live and travel in Blekinge without a car, and to encourage more people to choose public transport. The operation covers travel by bus, train, and archipelago services, as well as responsibility for school transport, transport service for people with disabilities, and healthcare travel. The work is characterized by a customer focus, collaboration, and continuous development. There is broad competence in areas such as traffic planning, business and operational development, marketing, communication, and customer service. Blekingetrafiken has approximately 48 employees, and through contracted transport services, an additional 700 people are employed. Together, we create the conditions for sustainable travel and a well-functioning infrastructure that contributes to the region's development.

About the job

As Head of Operations, you lead the Marketing and Sales Unit, which consists of teams within sales, marketing, and digital development. You have direct line responsibility for approximately 13 employees and are responsible for ensuring that the operation is conducted efficiently, service-oriented, and with high quality for residents and travelers. You have overall responsibility for operations, economy, personnel, and work environment. In the role, you create clarity and good conditions for employees through a trust-based leadership style, where you coach in daily work and drive development and improvement. An important part of the assignment is to prioritize resources and efforts based on the operation's goals and to ensure that structure, working methods, and competence support the mission. The role is both strategic and operational. You translate political decisions into concrete operations, follow up on results, and drive development in areas such as marketing, customer experience, and digitalization. You also represent the operation in various collaboration forums and contexts, both regionally and nationally, and contribute actively to management groups at different levels.

About you

You have a relevant academic degree or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer. You have documented experience leading operations in a complex organization and are accustomed to driving change and development work. You have good financial knowledge and experience with budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility, as well as experience in strategic work and serving on management teams. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience from public operations or politically governed organizations is meritorious, as is experience of collaborating with various actors and representing the operation in external contexts. As a person, you are confident, communicative, and relationship-building with a good ability to create trust. You are structured and analytical, while also being flexible and having the ability to prioritize and make decisions in complex situations. You lead with clarity and engagement and have a genuine interest in developing operations, employees, and working methods.
