ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Kura Omsorg are currently looking for personal assistants for our client in Karlstad. You will work as a temporary substitute, applying for shifts yourself and stepping in as needed. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to support the work group when necessary.

The working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 15:00-09:00 on weekdays.

• 09:00-15:00 and 15:00-09:00 on weekends.

Part of the night shift consists of waiting time. Access is granted according to agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is an active and playful teenage girl who lives with her family in central Karlstad. She loves being out in nature, watching movies, and coming up with outings. The girl has a strong will, and as an assistant, you need to be able to make thoughtful decisions. Your tasks will include, among other things, personal hygiene and being a support in her daily life.

ARE YOU THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

As a person, you should be attentive, empathetic, and patient. Since you will spend a lot of time with the client on your own, we would appreciate it if you are confident in yourself and comfortable working independently. We are looking for someone who can balance playfulness with responsibility, as well as lightness with boundary setting. Personal suitability is highly valued!

MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Driver's license and access to a car.

• Good physical condition.

• Experience with sign language or interest in learning.

• Experience working with diabetes. If you lack this experience, you will receive an introduction to learn how to handle it.

Employment: Temporary substitute

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that, according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
