Job Description
As a Probation Inspector, you are responsible for clients released on parole as well as clients sentenced to probation supervision. The Probation Service is also responsible for intensive supervision with electronic monitoring, commonly known as an electronic ankle bracelet, and community service. The work within the Probation Service consists largely of investigative work, conducting risk and needs assessments, and preparing implementation plans.
As a Probation Inspector, you actively participate in influence work directed towards clients, including structured conversations based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), motivating participation in program activities, and assisting in release preparations for clients admitted to prison. The duties also include conducting background investigations, providing opinions to the court, and proposing appropriate sanctions.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others.
