Do you want to make a real difference in the daily lives of citizens? Then we might be looking for you! The Care and Social Services Administration of Östersund Municipality is now seeking a motivated care assistant for the special housing facility at Skogsbruksvägen 133 in Torvalla.

Skogsbruksvägen 133 is a modern and homely special housing facility with 36 places distributed across four units. Each unit has eight rooms, including one double room. The airy and well-planned units create a pleasant environment with space for activities and community for the residents. Adjacent to the units are two beautiful inner courtyards, offering excellent opportunities for outdoor activities.

You will be part of a stable and committed team working together to ensure that every resident receives safe and high-quality care. The position is 75% with the possibility of increasing the working hours within the administration. Working hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts. The planned start date is September 1st or as agreed.

Your new job

As a care assistant in special housing, you work to promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of our residents. Your task is to support the residents and facilitate their daily lives. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care interventions, such as specific care and rehabilitation.

In your work, you collaborate with other care assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, coordinators, and unit managers. Another important part of your job is to regularly document in our operational systems.

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Trained care assistant
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken
  • Good computer skills

Merits

  • Experience from working in care and social services
  • Experience focusing on the elderly or persons with dementia
  • Knowledge of nutrition and meal service
  • Experience with delegated care interventions
  • Experience working in the operational system Viva
