Surgical Clinic, Värnamo Hospital

We are looking for a secure and engaged nurse for our endoscopy/surgical clinic – an exciting role with varied tasks and a strong team spirit.

The Role of the Nurse

Your duties will include assisting with outpatient surgeries, medical assessments, and endoscopic examinations. You will also be involved in TeleQ operations, where you will work with patient counseling as well as part of your role as a contact nurse. In this position, you will work with technical equipment in a role that is both independent and collaborative within a team.

As a nurse, the role also includes administering medication during procedures that require this, including administering sedatives to patients.

Your Future Workplace

Within the surgical department, we care for patients undergoing various investigations, treatments, as well as planned and emergency surgeries.

At the surgical/endoscopy clinic, we examine and treat patients within upper/lower gastroenterology, general surgery, abdominal and breast plastic surgery, and endocrinology.

Your Profile

You are a licensed nurse and preferably have previous experience in clinic work and in surgical care units. You have an interest in surgical patients and, together with your colleagues, you always work with the patient in focus. You value good customer service and treatment. As a person, you are stable and have a calm demeanor. We would like you to thrive in an environment where situations can arise suddenly, with the ability to prioritize and be flexible between different tasks.

Our Offer to You

Our surgical clinic/endoscopy unit is a relatively small unit. Nurses and nursing assistants work at both the surgical clinic and the endoscopy unit, which makes our work very flexible. We have a close and good collaboration with doctors and healthcare administrators where we always help each other.

We offer you a permanent position with an introduction and competence development based on your previous experience. Working hours are during the day.
