Nurse for Ward 2 and Pediatric Emergency, Region Västerbotten

The Child and Youth Centre Västerbotten is a county clinic with approximately 400 employees, responsible for all specialist care in the county for children and young people aged 0–18. We operate in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. Ward 2 (Barn 2) is a department with several specialties: medical, surgical, orthopedic, ear-related diseases, hand and plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and more. The department has 16 care beds on weekdays and 12 on weekends. Our catchment area covers the entire northern region.

The Pediatric Emergency Unit (Barnakuten) is a relatively new operation under constant development, where we currently receive children with medical problems in teams consisting of assistant nurses and doctors.

We offer a pleasant and appreciated workplace with a big heart and commitment. Here, we are constantly working to develop our work environment, and different professional groups work closely together. We are now looking for a nurse for our ward and the pediatric emergency unit.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse at Ward 2/Pediatric Emergency, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

You perform standard nursing tasks in close collaboration with other professions. As a nurse with us, you assess, prioritize, and address the patient's specific care needs. The work is varied. Sometimes it involves short care periods, and in other situations, the work consists of more complex issues and longer care times.

We have both acute intake of children and young people to the ward, but we also have a large part of our operations that are planned.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse (RN). Further education in pediatrics or other education that the employer considers relevant is meritorious. Experience in the profession is also meritorious.
