Are you looking for a new role where you can take responsibility, make a difference, and be a reassuring presence for citizens during the night hours? This might be just what you are looking for! We are now looking for two assistant nurses or care assistants for a temporary position in the night unit of the home care service in Brunflo.
In the home care night unit, we work to provide safe and quality care to citizens during the night. We have a large home care area in Brunflo and Fåker with surrounding areas, where we drive by car to our citizens. During one shift, there are 4 colleagues working, and district nurses are also on duty every night to support you. The work is based out of the home care premises in Brunflo.
The temporary positions are until August 31, 2026, with a possible extension. Working hours are during the night between 21:45-07:15.
Your new job
As an assistant nurse or care assistant in home care, you work with personal care in the citizen's home. You work to promote physical, mental, and social health for the citizens you help. Your task is to support the citizen and create security during the night. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care interventions such as specific care and rehabilitation. You collaborate with assistant nurses, care staff, and district nurses. Another important part of your duties is documenting in our operational systems.
Common tasks
- Help citizens with personal care and service
- Help with dressing and undressing, including support stockings
- Support with transfers, for example, when going to bed or using the toilet
- Handing over medication according to medical delegation and prescription
- Care of CPAP, urinary catheters, or stoma
- Guiding
- Supervision
- Actions in response to various alarms such as security alarms, door alarms, GPS alarms, and digital camera supervision
- Care documentation
Your qualifications
Requirements
- Previous experience working in elderly care
- Previous experience with medical delegation
- Driver's license
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Merits
- Trained assistant nurse
- Experience working in home care
- Good computer skills and experience using mobile phones as a work tool
- Access to your own car to easily commute to and from work
