The Role of the Nurse

Ward E is an inpatient ward focusing on harmful substance use and addiction. We serve as a county resource, working across the county's 13 municipalities, and have 16 beds for patients aged 18 and older with varying psychiatric conditions.

We work with paired nursing (a nurse working together with a nursing assistant), and patients have access to treatments such as supportive counseling, medication treatment, auricular acupuncture, and more.

As a nurse here, you will participate in all stages of the nursing process and follow the patient from admission to discharge. Additionally, you will contribute to the implementation of care and treatment plans and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the rest of the team.

We offer a permanent full-time position. Working hours include days and nights, as well as evenings and weekends.

The psychiatric clinic in Jönköping is one of the county's largest clinics, offering both outpatient and inpatient specialist psychiatric care. The department has seven outpatient clinics, five inpatient wards, a care administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency department offering acute assessments 24/7. The clinic provides psychiatric specialist care for residents over the age of 18. Parts of the clinic also serve as a county resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction care, forensic psychiatry, and on-call services, handling acute cases within both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Your Profile

We are looking for a registered nurse for one of our psychiatric inpatient wards, Ward E. A specialization in psychiatry in your education and/or previous work experience in psychiatry is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.
