The Department of Social Work at Stockholm University offers a social science education with social work as the main area of focus. The education focuses on understanding social processes and the ability to develop analyses of social problems. We provide teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels. Our programs lead to a Master of Arts in Social Work, a Social Work degree (socionom), and a Master's degree in Social Work. We have approximately 110 employees and 1,200 students per academic year.

Responsibilities
The position includes research, teaching, and supervision at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels, as well as administrative duties.
Qualifications
Eligible candidates are those who have completed a doctoral degree in social work or related social science fields. You must also have experience teaching in the field of social work.
General eligibility requirements include demonstrating pedagogical skill, as well as the ability to collaborate and contribute to inclusive communication. Emphasis is also placed on administrative competence, familiarity with learning platforms in an academic environment, and good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Meritorious qualifications include a university pedagogy course of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired through other means.
Evaluation Criteria
Emphasis is placed on academic merits and pedagogical skill. Administrative competence, experience working in LADOK, as well as Stockholm University's learning platform Canvas and examination tool Inspera, are also valued. Since teaching at the department is conducted in teams, teamwork skills and personal suitability are also considered important.
About the Position
The position is full-time but can be discussed. It is fixed-term for 12 months. Start date: August 1, 2026, or as agreed. We are recruiting for 1–2 positions.
