Working hours vary between day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

About You
We are looking for you who are a pediatric nurse or alternatively you who have a genuine interest in children and adolescents and are a registered nurse. If you are a newly graduated nurse, you are warmly welcome to apply. We value your great commitment to children, adolescents, and their families. You are careful, structured, and have good cooperation skills, as well as the ability to handle different situations that may arise at work. You also have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. The mission of the Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic is to receive children aged 0-18. The clinic is specialized in somatic care, which includes medical investigation, treatment, and nursing. The mission covers the entire range of pediatric problems as well as inpatient care in surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, ophthalmology, and ENT, and in some cases also child and adolescent psychiatry.

The clinic consists of two outpatient departments and one inpatient ward. The inpatient ward has 12 care beds distributed over seven ward beds and five neonatal beds. Here you will also find day care, a pediatric and adolescent clinic, and play therapy. Our goal is always to have high medical quality combined with good care.

Västervik Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with maternity care and a newborn unit.
