About Us

Östermalms Musik & Kulturskola was founded in 1997 with teaching in Stockholm and Danderyd Municipality. Since being authorized as an actor in Nacka Municipality in 2007, the operations have expanded to large parts of Nacka. We currently have approximately 800 students. Since autumn 2018, we have been an authorized cultural school in Nacka. We believe in a strong connection between music, mental well-being, and performance. Our goal is to awaken a warm interest in music and thereby strengthen our students' personal and musical development. We focus on the individual and are specialists in beginners. The operations are led by Principal Sonoko Kase.

About You

We are looking for someone who can teach guitar, both individually and in groups. You should also be able to teach electric bass, electric guitar, and ensemble playing. The ability to teach multiple instruments such as piano, drums, and singing is advantageous. Some administrative tasks and participation in the school's development are included in the position. Experience in marketing and image editing is advantageous. We wish to expand our operations with you, who are cheerful and engaged.

We are looking for someone with a university degree as a music teacher or equivalent education. You are flexible and open to constantly developing both work methods and methodology. You should have the ability to interest and inspire the students, a willingness to collaborate with colleagues within the school, and actively participate in the development of the school's operations. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your Responsibilities

Instrumental instruction (guitar instruction also includes electric guitar, electric bass) both individually and in groups/ensembles for children and young people, mainly after school hours. Teaching takes place in Nacka Municipality and Stockholm. Some administrative work at the school's office in Stockholm.

Teaching takes place in the afternoons during the school week, and the administrative part takes place at the school's office in the mornings. The position is 80 %.
