Your Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work on the mechanical design of military underwater vehicles and related products. The work is project-based and covers the entire development chain – from early concept studies and development to finished products and further development.

You will, among other things:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for advanced underwater products.
• Work in the CAD program Catia V6 / 3DExperience (3Dx).
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in other engineering disciplines as well as functions such as procurement, production, testing, and external suppliers.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine technical interest and are driven by developing innovative products in a sophisticated technical environment. You thrive in collaboration with others and are happy to share your knowledge, while also taking significant personal responsibility in your work.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design work.
• Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with 3D-CAD, preferably in Catia V6 / 3DExperience (3Dx).

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
