About the role

Over 60,000 employees and students need secure and smooth access to the city's IT environment every day. This is no small task, and it starts with the right identity and access solutions. As a Technical IT Strategist within Identity and Access, you step into the heart of Gothenburg City's digital infrastructure. You become a key person responsible for the solutions that make it possible for the entire city to function – from identity management and access control to account management and secure login. The business area is responsible for the operation, administration, and development of the city's central IT environment. Here, we work on issues where security and user experience must go hand in hand – and where your contribution truly makes a difference.

You will be working with:

• Designing, developing, configuring, and implementing technical solutions within the access domain.
• Analyzing technical requirements and driving improvements.
• Automation is a natural part of the work, and you gladly use PowerShell or similar tools to streamline processes and workflows.
• Participating in projects for the rollout and further development of our solutions, and continuously contributing with documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Security work related to access control and protection of business-critical systems is a central part of the role.

About you

We are looking for you who have a university-level education in the IT field or equivalent competence acquired in other ways.

You have a good understanding of system architecture, networks, databases, and IT security, and are accustomed to working in complex IT environments. You have experience in development or scripting and are comfortable automating and building solutions, not just maintaining them.

We are looking for you who have experience with tools related to software development, service development, operations, and administration.

• Understanding of IT infrastructure, system development, and technical concepts.
• Agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and similar).
• It is important that you master the protocols that modern access management is built on – LDAP and Active Directory for directory services, as well as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect for federated identity and single sign-on.

You need to have good Swedish skills in both writing and speaking.

Meritorious experience:

• Access platforms.
• Understanding of how identity data flows between systems – source systems, provisioning, and target systems.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Practical experience with Python, OpenShift/Kubernetes, GitOps/CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
• Information security and regulatory compliance: GDPR, NIS2 understanding.
