Specialist in General Medicine at Jakobsbergs University Health Centre
Jakobsbergs University Health Centre is part of SLSO (Stockholm County Council). We are located at Jakobsbergs Hospital, within walking distance of Jakobsbergs Centre, just an 18-minute commuter train ride from Stockholm City.
We are a pleasant workplace with approximately 50 employees from various professions. We have around 13,200 registered patients and are one of the larger health centres in the region.

About the role
As a Specialist in General Medicine, you will perform standard tasks within primary care. You will meet patients of all ages and from various cultures, and mentor future colleagues. The role requires broad medical competence, independence, and good collaboration skills with different professional groups.
As a University Health Centre, we are responsible, among other things, for the continuing education of healthcare personnel in certain knowledge areas. At Jakobsbergs University Health Centre, our knowledge areas include Cancer in Primary Care (CaPrim), Neurological Diseases, and Pain and Elderly Health.

Qualifications:
- Licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine
- Experience working in primary care
- Familiarity with the medical record system TakeCare
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English
- Good computer skills, including the Office package
- Interest in healthcare development, project management, and continuing education
Personal qualities:
We are looking for someone who is engaged, confident in their professional role, and has good collaboration skills. You drive your own work but also contribute to the whole at the health centre. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment type:
Permanent full-time position (100%) as a Specialist in General Medicine.
Working hours: Monday–Friday.
Probationary period may apply.
Start date: According to agreement.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination according to current directives, conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
