We are seeking, pending necessary approvals, a teacher in Swedish and English for the school year 2026/2027.

About the school

Hembergsskolan is a lower secondary school located in Vilhelmina, in the interior of Västerbotten. Here you have the opportunity to work in a smaller school with close relationships, short decision-making paths, and a clear focus on safety, well-being, and learning.

The school is centrally located in the town with walking distance to most things.

Hembergsskolan has approximately 160 students, distributed across three parallel classes in each grade, with a maximum of 20 students per class. We are a school where students and staff know each other well and where safety is a prerequisite for learning.

The school has a safety officer who, together with the staff, works preventively to create a safe and pleasant school environment and investigates bullying in accordance with the school's routines.

Tasks and responsibilities

As a teacher at Hembergsskolan, you are responsible for teaching in your subjects, Swedish and English, and are a mentor for a class together with a colleague. The mentoring role includes responsibility for student attendance and, in collaboration with colleagues and student health services, supporting students' social development – both individually and in groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license and are qualified to teach in lower secondary school.

You have an easy time building good relationships with students, possess good digital competence, and use digital learning environments consciously. You are innovative in your working methods, see opportunities rather than limitations, and can work independently while collaborating well with colleagues.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
