Are you a driven and engaged leisure center teacher who wants to make a difference at a school in Västerbotten? Then we would like to welcome you to our team at Nilaskolan's leisure center!

Job Responsibilities

As a leisure center teacher, you become part of a team working to drive the development of the leisure center forward. In this role, you lead and organize the activities to give students the opportunity to participate in varied and meaningful leisure activities. You collaborate closely with colleagues to create an accessible learning environment for all students, with the goal of providing the best possible conditions for both educators and students.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Plan and organize leisure center activities and support children in their development
• Work within the leisure center and other parts of the school as needed
• Work with the staff team to promote children's influence and participation
• Challenge and stimulate development for individual students and groups
• Create a good learning environment through participation and personal responsibility

About the Workplace

• Nilaskolan is an F-9 school (preschool class to grade 9) beautifully located next to the Tjamstabacka hills in Malå. Approximately 360 students attend the school, and the staff group consists of approximately 65 employees.
• In the immediate vicinity of the school, there are various leisure facilities such as an ice hall, ski slope, artificial turf field, etc., all of which are used in school teaching.
• To continuously develop teaching, all staff participate in joint pedagogical work once a month. During this time, the work focuses on different development areas.
• Nilaskolan's vision is that everyone is at school, everyone is safe, everyone feels seen, everyone feels they succeed, and everyone reaches the goals.
• In the preschool and primary school administration, approximately 100 employees work. We meet young people from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school. We are jointly responsible for contributing to equal conditions for young people and laying the foundation for learning that extends throughout life. With trust and courage, we build our preschools and schools together. We take on the challenges of the future, for the best of every child.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role of leisure center teacher with us, you need to be a secure and stable person who can adapt your approach to the situation, the group, and the needs of individual students. You handle changes easily and see opportunities when circumstances shift. It is important that you have a good understanding of how students acquire knowledge and that you can adapt your way of conveying messages based on the fact that all students have different prerequisites.

We are looking for someone who cooperates easily and contributes to a calm, secure, and positive environment at the school. You are innovative and happy to share ideas and new working methods. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create and maintain relationships, and can lead, motivate, and engage students so that they feel involved and secure.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in leisure centers, or alternatively, a qualifying degree that entitles you to teacher certification
• Alternatively, previously commended experience from working in leisure centers. (If teacher certification is not present, the position may be directed towards individual students).

Meritorious:

• Experience working in leisure centers
• Knowledge and experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF)
