We are now looking for a residential support worker to join our team at Smedjevägen 6 and 8 (formerly Petters). We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a difference! The position is a full-time role at 100%.

About the Operations Smedjevägen 6 and 8 is an LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) facility in Urshult for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, offering both group housing (3 places) and service housing (7 places).

The work is individualized with a focus on low-affective interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to create safety, participation, and self-determination.

The residence is located close to nature and offers day activities in Trehörna. The staff group consists of residential support workers, a group manager, as well as access to health care competence and continuous training. It is a small staff group that has worked together for several years.

About the Role As a residential support worker, you base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and content-rich. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their skills and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your duties also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.

You have a group manager close by who spends part of their time working in the operations. All our managers undergo a leadership program. Through Lära, employees can also receive supervision if needed to solve a specific pedagogical challenge.

Your Experience and Knowledge You, the applicant, have a high school education in care and nursing or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, and you always have the best interests of our users as your starting point in everything you do.
