About the School

Practical Gymnasiet in Märsta offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and fun training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Construction and Infrastructure, Childcare and Leisure, Electricity and Energy, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 150 students and about 15 employees.

The school is centrally located in Märsta, a five-minute walk from the commuter train station. You can reach Märsta in less than 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station and less than 20 minutes from Uppsala Central Station. The school offers apprenticeship training on all programs from different grade levels.

Your Role
The position is a permanent employment at 100% starting as agreed, but no later than 2026-08-07. You will teach and supervise our students within the Electricity and Energy program and, together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically through their three years at Practical Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who want to work as a vocational teacher in electricity and energy with a focus on electrical engineering. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You who lack a teaching license have the opportunity to apply for the position. The duties include contact with business life as a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with the electrical industry is important.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students long to go out into working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
