YOUR NEW JOB

As a teacher with us, you will mainly teach art for grades 6-9. Your main workplace will be at Renforsskolan. The position includes shared mentorship for a class at Renforsskolan, and you will independently plan, conduct, and evaluate the teaching. You will also have responsibility for the school's art room. Through collaboration with other staff at the school, you will also work towards the school's development and strive to create a good environment for both students and staff.

YOUR COMPETENCE

We believe that the person who fits in with us at Renforsskolan understands the value of building good relationships with students and their guardians. The person we are looking for is a natural leader in the classroom and has a clear pedagogical approach, striving to adapt and vary activities, explanations, and techniques according to the students' needs and level. The drive to motivate and enthuse students in their knowledge development is obvious for the person. Equally important is the ability to communicate well by listening, being receptive to the other party, and adapting to the situation.

To succeed in the assignment, you need to have good subject knowledge, digital competence, and the ability to see and meet the students where they are. You work with a focus on the school's mission to help all students succeed as far as possible, both academically and socially.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for you who have, or have applied for, teacher certification and have education in the subject of art.

For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register before employment.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

You will work at Renforsskolan, which is a secondary school with approximately 190 students. The school is located in a nature-rich environment with proximity to forests, rivers, and nature reserves. You can easily reach the school by car, bus, or train from Umeå, and carpooling opportunities exist as we have many commuters based in Umeå.

Among us, besides certified teachers and youth leaders, there is also a special needs educator, school nurse, assistants, student coach, study and career counselor, and school counselor. In recent years, the school has worked actively together with local businesses. At Renforsskolan, we also have a pronounced team spirit. You are never alone with challenges and questions; we always try to support each other.
