Do you want to contribute to the future of public transport in a complex and socially important role? We are now looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager/Coordinator for a long-term consulting assignment regarding traffic start-ups and exits for rail and bus traffic.

In this role, you will work in a cross-functional environment where you are responsible for coordinating and ensuring IT-related activities linked to both the decommissioning of existing traffic operators and the onboarding of new operators. The assignment involves close collaboration with project management, IT, operations, and external actors to create stable and sustainable transitions 🚦

You will become a key part of ensuring continuity in business-critical systems and contributing to robust IT deliveries throughout the entire lifecycle – from exit to new traffic start.

📍 Location: Stockholm/Kungsholmen with hybrid work options. 📅 Assignment period: 2026-10-01 – 2028-12-31 ⏳ Scope: 100% (40 hours/week)

Initially, the focus will be on mapping systems, integrations, and dependencies related to traffic start-ups and exit processes within both rail and bus traffic. Thereafter, the work will shift to planning, coordinating, and executing activities related to handovers and the establishment of new traffic solutions.

You will be responsible for, among other things:

• Identifying affected systems, integrations, and dependencies.
• Ensuring requirements and needs related to decommissioning, handover, and startup of IT support.
• Planning and coordinating activities related to traffic start-ups and exits.
• Ensuring correct handling of systems, assets, and information.
• Coordinating handovers between outgoing and incoming operators.
• Working closely with IT, operations, product owners, and system owners.
• Monitoring budget, activities, and reporting to project management and steering groups.
• Contributing to long-term and sustainable management of systems and solutions.

• At least 9 years of experience as an IT Project Manager with technical responsibility in complex IT environments.
• At least 4 years of experience leading IT projects within business-critical systems with high demands on availability and stable operations.
• Experience from at least one assignment where operational disruptions or system errors had a direct impact on the business.
• At least 2 years of experience working with real-time systems, transaction-intensive systems, or IT systems linked to physical infrastructure or vehicles.
• Experience working as a client representative towards external suppliers and subcontractors.
• Experience from at least two assignments involving IT transitions, outsourcing, or supplier changes including operational handover.
• Valid project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of experience working with integrations and integration contracts.
• At least 2 years of experience working within or towards public sector operations.
