Assistant Nurse for Orthogeriatrics, Ward 4 – Fixed-term Position

The Geriatric Centre is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. Interprofessional teams conduct comprehensive assessments of elderly patients' medical, physical, mental, and social functioning during illness. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on the patient's individual needs.

Orthogeriatrics, Ward 4, provides acute and subacute orthogeriatric care and rehabilitation.

We are now looking for a new colleague for a fixed-term position from 2026-09-01 to 2027-08-31. Are you the one we are looking for?

All our new colleagues undergo our introduction program together with experienced colleagues over 4 weeks, giving you a good insight, understanding, and basic security in your role. You will work according to a permanent night shift schedule with an employment rate of 87.8%, which corresponds to 18 nights over 6 weeks.

The role of assistant nurse includes nursing work in collaboration with registered nurses. Together, you conduct supervisory rounds during the night. The registered nurse holds medical responsibility.

Qualifications

You have an assistant nurse education and a certified course in emergency care. You enjoy working with the elderly, put the patient first, have a good attitude towards patients, and adapt your care to the patient's varying needs throughout the care process.

You take initiative, are easy to work with, and are curious about new challenges. You feel a sense of responsibility and thrive in an environment with varied tasks and changing intensity. You work both in a team and independently, where teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail are qualities we value. Personal suitability is of great importance.

As of July 1, 2023, "assistant nurse" is a protected professional title. This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) to use the title assistant nurse within care and social services. You apply for the certificate of protected professional title for assistant nurses from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you already have this certificate, we request that you attach it to your application.
