Job Responsibilities

Björneborg Steel is looking for a person whose job responsibilities will involve working with various types of non-destructive testing, primarily ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, and hardness measurement. The tests are carried out in several steps during the process, where you look for defects such as cracks and pores, as well as verifying properties. This is a flexible role where you operate from various departments within the business, identifying faults to validate and develop them.

Your main tasks will include:

• Planning and executing run plans according to specifications in systems such as Movex and Comflow.
• Conducting tests across all common areas of non-destructive testing.
• Interpreting testing regulations and customer specifications in both Swedish and English.
• Working with documentation, deviation reports, and adjustment reports.

We are looking for you who:

Have a secondary education and industrial experience.

Additional qualifications:

• Ultrasonic testing (Level 1 and 2 according to ISO 9712). (Highly meritorious, but not a requirement as the company provides training).
• Magnetic particle testing (Level 1 and 2 according to ISO 9712). (Highly meritorious, but not a requirement as the company provides training).
• Penetrant testing (Level 1 and 2 according to ISO 9712). (Highly meritorious, but not a requirement as the company provides training).
• Experience from heavy industry.
• Crane operator license (Traverskort).
• Experience working in an MPS system. We work with Movex, Qlikview, and the Office suite.

Working hours:

• Daytime with flexibility, but shift work may occur.
