About the position
As a Product Manager for diving systems, you are responsible for a specific technical materiel area. Your area of responsibility will be linked to diving systems, including gas supply and hyperbaric chambers.
The Product Manager's main task is to support the Technical Director and Chief Engineer in taking technical design responsibility during ongoing procurement of materiel and major modifications, as well as to support the Swedish Armed Forces in their exercise of technical design responsibility during the maintenance phase and to participate in various types of projects.
In the role of taking technical design responsibility, you are responsible for development, configuration management, integration of subsystems, monitoring of status and performance, and quality assurance of the systems included in your area of responsibility. The responsibility also includes developing proposals for measures to correct any functional and safety-related deficiencies. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the Swedish Armed Forces' design responsible parties.
As a Product Manager, you also contribute to the preparation of background material for the Defence Materiel Plan and participate in international working groups within, among others, NATO and the European Defence Agency (EDA).

You have current and relevant experience in leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of technical measures on larger, complex systems from a system perspective. This also applies to experience from operational operation and maintenance of technical systems assessed to be of corresponding complexity. You have the ability to conduct technical investigations, hold a B driving license, and have good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
Desirable is current and relevant experience in systematic lifecycle planning of technical systems and knowledge of regulations and standards related to the area.
Knowledge and experience of the Swedish Armed Forces' diving systems, including gas supply and hyperbaric chambers, is also desirable.
If you have previous current and relevant project management experience with own economic responsibility, we see it as an advantage. Likewise, if you have experience from operational operation and maintenance from the Swedish Armed Forces and technical service, or as a dive system advisor/engineer in, for example, offshore.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experiences and are looking for you who have good judgment and can make well-founded decisions even in complex situations. We also see that you are structured, proactive, self-initiating, and have a good ability to plan and drive the work forward on your own. At the same time, you have a very good ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive and effective collaboration in the team.
