Spaljisten is a customer-focused, proactive, and flexible manufacturer of foil-faced fronts, with quality and sustainability in focus. By developing both existing and future products, we deliver world-class furniture fronts to customers worldwide. Spaljisten is currently in an exciting phase of development with significant investments in future technology. For over 50 years, the operations in Åseda have combined tradition with leading technology. Since 2004, the company has been owned by the long-term investment company Active Invest Sweden AB. Today, Spaljisten has approximately 120 employees and a turnover of around 600 MSEK.

Spaljisten’s current CEO is moving on to the next step in his career outside the group, and we are therefore looking for a successor – a business developer in an industrial environment.

The Assignment

As CEO, you are responsible for taking Spaljisten to the next level by strengthening the business, further developing customer relationships, and creating conditions for continued international growth – based on a stable operation and organization.

The company stands on solid ground with a well-functioning operation, engaged and competent employees, and a prominent position in the market. At the same time, there is significant potential to further develop the business, win new customers, and increase capacity utilization.

The assignment involves translating the company’s potential into concrete results through a clear business focus, the ability to identify and seize business opportunities, and the courage to drive development forward.

The role includes:

✓ Driving profitable growth and increasing capacity utilization

✓ Developing and deepening the business with existing customers

✓ Establishing new customer relationships and broadening the customer base

✓ Driving international expansion, with a focus on Europe and North America

✓ Ensuring that business, production, and investments develop in tandem

✓ Setting clear priorities and following up on results

✓ Leading the operation in close collaboration with the organization, as well as in active dialogue with customers, suppliers, owners, and other stakeholders

The role involves active and present leadership, with a clear presence in the operation and close dialogue with both the organization, customers, and the market.

Requirements

✓ Experience in leading operations with full P&L responsibility

✓ Documented ability to drive business, make decisions, and deliver results in collaboration with multiple stakeholders

✓ Experience in developing new and existing customers and creating and driving business, including internationally

✓ Experience in B2B within manufacturing industry, with a focus on volume, cost-efficiency, quality, and delivery precision

✓ Experience in businesses where large volumes, high quality, and delivery precision are business-critical

✓ Familiarity with participating in customer negotiations, investment decisions, and dialogue with banks/financial partners

✓ Good understanding of economics, profitability, and business logic in a production-intensive operation

✓ Understanding of business systems (ERP) and data-driven follow-up

✓ Ability to operate in a role with both operational and strategic responsibility

✓ Opportunity and willingness to travel internationally as well as being clearly present in Åseda

Merits

✓ Civil Engineer or equivalent technical/economic background

✓ Experience from kitchen, interior, or related industries

✓ Experience from OEM business or supplier side to larger industrial customers

✓ Experience in driving international expansion, preferably within Europe and/or USA

✓ Experience from organizations characterized by entrepreneurship, development, and change

Travel and Presence
