About the role:

As a Strategic Buyer, you step into a key role where your decisions impact the economy, delivery capability, and the entire production flow for years to come. You work "at the front of the bus" – close to suppliers and in close collaboration with production, engineering, quality, and the rest of the purchasing organization. You lead tenders, negotiations, and long-term supplier development at a strategic level, ensuring that the right materials, suppliers, and commercial terms are in place at the right time. The role involves combining technical interest with business acumen, relationship building, and proactive improvement work.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain/Purchasing/Logistics, or Industrial Economics.
• Has a strong interest in technology.
• Is proficient in Excel, with experience in Power BI being an advantage.
• Has good command of both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

To thrive in this role, we believe you are communicative, easily build trust, and collaborate well with many different people, both internally and externally. You have good structure, are meticulous – especially regarding data and export control – and can handle a daily routine that is not always perfectly planned. You are curious, dare to ask questions and challenge when things do not seem optimal, and enjoy taking initiative to drive improvements. Furthermore, you are comfortable leading meetings, standing "at the front" towards suppliers, and gradually growing into a clear negotiating front role with support from the team.

Practical information:

The position is full-time, located at the company's premises in Örnsköldsvik, and starts as soon as possible according to agreement. The position may require security clearance and citizenship requirements according to current security protection regulations.
