Our core values are credibility, trust, and security. By being brave, thinking freely, and doing new things, we create a better future together, through both large and small actions. We welcome you to apply for a job with us!
Your responsibilities
As a postdoctoral researcher within AIDA (Analytic Imaging Diagnostics Arena), you will work on building a national knowledge base for AI implementation in medical imaging. The work involves mapping and analyzing Swedish healthcare providers' experiences with implementing AI solutions in clinical practice, with a particular focus on radiology and pathology. Based on the collected material, you will develop guiding support documents and frameworks for the systematic and methodical introduction of AI in healthcare.
You will work in close collaboration with clinicians, researchers, and operational managers across the country, and disseminate results via AIDA's platforms, workshops, AI courses, and external conferences. The position combines independent research work with active collaboration within a broad interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral network.
As a postdoctoral researcher, your primary focus will be research. Teaching may also be included in the duties, but no more than one-fifth of the working time.
Your qualifications
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, you must have completed a doctoral degree or have a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. Your degree must be completed no later than at the time the employment decision is made.
It is meritorious if your degree was completed no more than three years before the last application deadline for this position. If there are special reasons, it may be considered as a doctoral degree completed earlier, for example, in cases of various types of statutory leave.
We are looking for you who have a doctoral degree in business administration, informatics, medical science, public health science, or another relevant area with a focus on implementation research, organizational theory, or AI in healthcare. You have documented experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research methodology, as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We also believe that you have experience in research or practical work within healthcare organizations, knowledge of AI applications in clinical contexts, and experience in compiling and communicating research results to broad audiences. Experience in stakeholder management and project management is meritorious.
You are analytical, self-directed, and have a pronounced ability to build relationships and collaborate with actors from different sectors – healthcare, academia, and industry. You communicate with clarity and engagement, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have the ability to translate complex research results into practical guidance.
Your workplace
You will work at the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (https://liu.se/forskning/cmiv (https://liu.se/forskning/cmiv)) at Linköping University, located at the University Hospital in Linköping. CMIV is an interdisciplinary center for image and functional medicine with close collaboration between healthcare, academia, and industry.
You are part of the core of https://liu.se/forskning/aida (https://liu.se/forskning/aida), the national arena for research and innovation in AI and medical imaging, and work in a vibrant community with over 50 actors from healthcare, academia, and industry across Sweden.
