Driver for Åsele Ambulance Car

Åsele Ambulance Car operates in collaboration between Åsele Municipality's Rescue Services and Region Västerbotten's Ambulance Care. The Rescue Service provides drivers, while Ambulance Care is responsible for nurses, vehicles, etc. In ambulance care, patients are assessed and treated at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to the nearest healthcare facility. Job Responsibilities

As a driver at Åsele Ambulance Car, you will be introduced to the Rescue Services and Ambulance Care. You will work in a team with nurses in patient-care situations, where work is partly carried out based on standardized tasks. During alarms, you are responsible for traffic safety and patient transport. The assignment involves on-call duty for alarms via RAKEL, 24/7, with a response time of 5 minutes during scheduled shifts. To succeed in this role, you must stay updated on guidelines and instructions for care, accident scene work, and vehicles. Ongoing competence development will be planned and implemented in consultation between the collaborating parties and you as the employee.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience from rescue services and/or healthcare work. Medical training and experience from emergency care are advantageous. Experience in ambulance care is an extra advantage. The job requires excellent driving skills. A B driver's license held for at least 3 years, with regular driving during that period, is a requirement.

Work in ambulance care can be physically demanding, as heavy lifting in non-adapted environments occurs. Therefore, we test your physical capacity before employment.

After passing a physical test, you will undergo a driving test. A passing result may lead to an employment interview. We require you to provide an extract from the criminal record register.

We place special emphasis on your personal qualities, teamwork skills, social competence, stress tolerance, practical skills, and ability to adapt to changing and varied working conditions.

Scope

The employment is part-time, consisting only of scheduled on-call time planned according to the "washing machine model" (block scheduling). Competence development time is individual.
