ABOUT THE WORKPLACE

The home care service helps and supports the municipality's residents who still live in their own homes but need assistance to maintain a functional daily life. For us, it is important that you want to contribute to a positive atmosphere and see opportunities for improvement. To ensure a good introduction, you will be assigned a mentor who will follow you during your first period of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse assistant (undersköterska), you work together with your colleagues for the benefit of the user and are an important part of their daily life. The home care service provides nursing care and service interventions based on decisions on support and assistance. We also work on behalf of the healthcare sector, where nurses delegate tasks such as medication administration, insulin administration, and other delegated healthcare tasks like catheter flushing and oxygen management. Our operations also perform delegated tasks from physiotherapists in the form of exercise programs. Users have different needs for support and help, which means you will experience variety in your work.

As an employee, you have a primary placement in a home care group, but if needed, we help each other across unit boundaries to meet the users' needs. You will travel by bicycle, car, or on foot, depending on your work group. To meet the challenges that home care faces in the future, you will play an important role as an employee by developing and creating new ways of working. Working hours are day/evening and every other weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a nurse assistant education with proof of a protected professional title. Previous experience from the healthcare sector can be meritorious. We would appreciate it if you had experience with medication and insulin administration. You have good computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation. Since we have both car-based and bicycle-based groups, a B-driver's license may be a requirement for some of the positions. Cycling skills are meritorious.

A probationary period may be applied for, and it will convert to a permanent position when a valid delegation is presented.

The Care and Social Services Department works with people throughout all stages of life and creates better conditions for people's quality of life. The department consists of home care, special housing, support and care, authority work for the elderly and disabled, staffing, and healthcare.
