Your Role

In this role, you are responsible for the entire measurement process – from understanding requirements to selecting and implementing the right measurement methods and ensuring the results. You interpret drawings and translate them into measurement programs, participate in fixture development work, measure, and analyze results. You support measurements in production and provide guidance and training as needed.

You work with components, finished products, and tooling parts where measurement is performed using both handheld tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). The role also includes documentation, standardization, and analysis of measurement data to create a foundation for process understanding, maintenance, and continuous improvements.

Main Responsibilities

• Program and develop measurement programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Develop and standardize processes for measurement, calibration, and documentation.
• Ensure that measurement equipment and methods maintain the correct quality and traceability.
• Analyze measurement data and contribute to improvement work in collaboration with production and quality teams.
• Support and train production staff in measurement technology and methods.

The role involves close collaboration with production and colleagues in the quality team.

Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in measurement technology. You might currently work as a quality technician or designer and wish to specialize. We believe you have a technical educational background in areas such as machinery, production, or quality – or equivalent experience in measurement technology and quality. We would appreciate if you contribute with the following skills, but we are open to providing training if you lack competence in a specific area. The most important thing is that you are passionate about measurement technology.

Measurement Technical Competence

• Knowledge of Geometric Product Specification (GPS) according to ISO standards.
• Experience with CMM, vision systems, form, and position measurement.
• Knowledge of calibration, traceability, and measurement uncertainty.
• Practical experience with measuring tools, fixtures, and measurement instructions.

As a person, you have a drive to improve and standardize, and you understand the value of creating systematic approaches within the measurement technology field. You are motivated by taking ownership of an area and developing it over time; you enjoy building up processes rather than just maintaining them.
