Essinge Health Centre is looking for a General Practitioner specialist who is passionate about patient safety and interested in becoming our Responsible Medical Officer.

We are looking for you who want to work in an organization that prioritizes reasonable workload, high medical quality, developing and supportive teamwork, and personalized care for our registered patients.

We are a small health centre located on Lilla Essingen in Stockholm. You can reach us by bus, cross-rail, private vehicle, on foot, or by boat.

We have approximately 7,200 registered patients and currently employ 20 staff members. Thanks to our size, the path from idea to action is short.

The health centre offers general practice consultations, district nurse-led clinics for diabetes and osteoporosis, a psychology clinic, a nearby laboratory, Child Health Centre (BVC), and home healthcare services.

About the job:

You will work with scheduled appointments, acute patient cases, as well as investigation and treatment at the clinic. Home visits to patients in our home healthcare service occur, and you will be responsible for a group of home healthcare patients together with a district nurse.

The position includes supervision of AT (Internship), BT (Basic Training), and ST (Specialist Training) doctors. A large part of the job involves teamwork with specialist nurses at the clinic and at the Child Health Centre.

We use the medical record system TakeCare.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a specialist in general practice, preferably with a few years of experience.

We would like you to have an interest in supervising students, AT, BT, and ST doctors. As the responsible supervisor, one hour of scheduled supervision per week is included for the doctors you supervise. You will be responsible for your own patient list. If you are interested in Child Health Centre (BVC) work, this may be included in the role.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and professional interaction with both patients and colleagues.

Employment type:

Permanent position. Monday–Friday. Full-time. Part-time is possible if the applicant so wishes. We offer flexible working hours. Start date by agreement. Probation period may apply.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council Healthcare Area:

  • A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines.
  • Employees with patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination through occupational health services before employment.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish (level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required, in addition to a Swedish professional license. The same requirement applies to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
