Are you an engaged and skilled teacher with experience teaching Modern Standard Arabic to adults? Have you worked with Arabic as a foreign language in Sweden or internationally, and are you familiar with the CEFR framework? At Upgrades Education, we are currently looking for an Arabic language coach for our clients in Stockholm – both online and in person.

About the assignment

The work is project-based, and the teaching is tailored to each client's level, goals, and needs. Assignments typically last 10–20 weeks, with 1–2 lessons per week, each lasting 60–90 minutes. Teaching takes place both in person in Stockholm and online. We primarily seek candidates residing in Stockholm. You will work independently as part of our network of language coaches.

Requirements

• This assignment requires documented experience teaching Arabic as a foreign language – either in Sweden or internationally.
• You must have at least two years of experience teaching Modern Standard Arabic to adults and possess native-level proficiency (C2) in Arabic according to the CEFR, in both speaking and writing.
• We are looking for someone who can plan and structure courses based on participants' levels and goals, has a good understanding of adult pedagogy, and practical experience working according to the CEFR scale.
• You should also have experience using digital tools in teaching, as well as good knowledge of Swedish or English for communication with clients and the team.

Merits

It is an advantage if you have education in pedagogy, didactics, or language teaching, experience teaching in corporate or professional contexts, as well as intercultural competence and experience with multicultural groups.
